Through nearly forty years of professional experience, I have learned that “accurately identifying the cause of a problem and implementing comprehensive, effective measures” is essential for true problem-solving. Rather than relying on formal credentials such as education or qualifications, I believe that what truly matters is whether one can deliver real, practical solutions.

As an attorney, providing high-quality legal advice is my duty. However, the challenges faced by clients are not always solvable through legal measures alone. In corporate legal affairs especially, it is crucial to provide services from a holistic perspective that includes not only legal aspects but also business operations, financial management, taxation, human resources, and on-the-ground practices. I am committed to delivering practical and sustainable solutions tailored to each client’s real circumstances.

During my tenure at the Bank of Japan, I mainly worked in the Examination Department, overseeing and guiding improvements at approximately 100 financial institutions in areas such as management and risk control systems. Later, as the head of compliance at a foreign-affiliated financial institution, I supervised the drafting of contracts, legal conformity reviews, debt recovery, and the establishment of AML/CFT/CPF frameworks. These experiences have become a solid foundation for providing clients with trusted, comprehensive legal support.

My services extend beyond general corporate and civil law matters. First, I assist in developing internal control and customer protection systems aligned with ongoing legal reforms—such as the Whistleblower Protection Act, Labor Measures Comprehensive Promotion Act, Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and the Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds. Second, I provide full-scale support in responding to regulatory authorities. When faced with inspections, licensing procedures, or administrative actions, I help restructure governance and internal management systems while working closely with clients through the improvement process. My approach is rooted in actionable, field-level problem-solving.

What these two areas of support share is a commitment to building sustainable systems. I aim to embed frameworks that enable clients’ organizations to autonomously operate PDCA cycles, ensuring long-term stability and continuous growth even as leadership and personnel change.

In addition, I also handle a wide range of civil cases such as real estate transactions, leases, debt recovery, inheritance, and divorce, providing comprehensive and effective solutions that serve the client’s true interests.

Credo

In modern corporations, establishing a shared code of conduct (business ethics / Credo) is essential to ensure legal compliance and social responsibility. I have adopted this principle in my own legal practice, guided by a personal credo formed during my student years.

My Credo originates from my time on the university rowing team. In a regatta, even a brief lapse in focus can determine victory or defeat. From that experience, I embraced the phrase: “Next stroke is the race!” — a reminder that every single effort counts toward success.

As an attorney, I apply this spirit to every case I handle. I approach each client’s challenge with total commitment, never relaxing my effort midway, and take full responsibility until resolution. The unwavering determination to see every matter through to the end defines my Credo — and my promise to every client who entrusts me with their case.
