Nice to meet you. My name is Yuni Ito, and I am an attorney at SAKURA Law Office.
The reason I aspired to pursue a career in law is rooted in the profound realization that I am a product of the support I have received from countless individuals throughout my life. Whether in my academic pursuits or in moments of overcoming various challenges, I am deeply aware that I did not reach this point through my efforts alone; it is the assistance, guidance, and warm encouragement of those around me that have shaped who I am today. This experience has led me beyond mere gratitude, naturally bringing me to the question of what role I should play in society and how I can best give back value to the world.
In facing this question, I have come to a firm conviction: the most sincere way to engage with society is to become someone who provides concrete and substantial value to others. I chose this path because I believe being a lawyer is the profession that allows me to realize that value most directly and responsibly in the face of individual, specific problems. To me, the law is not just a collection of abstract knowledge; it is an intensely practical foundation for bringing order to reality, providing clarity to those in anxiety, and guiding people from conflict and confusion toward appropriate resolutions.
In the field of legal practice, ideal conditions are not always met, and a single, clear "correct answer" rarely presents itself. Facts are often tangled, interests overlap in complex ways, and emotional conflicts can sometimes have a more profound impact than the legal points themselves. In such situations, I believe what is required of a lawyer is not merely to cite statutes and precedents, but to possess the insight to carefully discern the facts, organize the issues without excess or deficiency, and determine what constitutes the most rational and effective solution for the client.
In every case entrusted to me, I place the highest priority on meticulously grasping the facts and fully understanding the background circumstances and the client’s unique situation. Based on this, I develop a sophisticated legal strategy through rigorous research and analysis, pursuing the best possible outcome attainable in reality. My responsibility as a professional is not to end with a formalistic application of the law, but to maintain a perspective on what a case means for the client’s business, life, and future, identifying their truly vital interests to show the most appropriate path forward.
As a practitioner of the law, I believe I must bear a strong responsibility not only for the validity of the conclusion but also for the integrity and precision of the process leading to it. By facing every consultation with sincerity, exhausting all avenues of consideration, and providing advice and solutions that the client can trust, I strive daily to build my value as a lawyer through the accumulation of these efforts.
In modern society, legal elements are deeply embedded not only in business activities but in every facet of daily decision-making. From launching new businesses or services and designing contract terms to reviewing labor management and appropriately handling personal or confidential information, the law always exists alongside our real-world activities. Because this involvement is so seamless, it is not uncommon for parties to unknowingly harbor legal risks that later manifest as significant problems.
In such an era, it is crucial not only to react after a problem surfaces but to organize the situation from a legal perspective in advance. By identifying the location and extent of risks, one can prepare a foundation that enables stable decision-making for the future. Whether or not legal matters are properly organized affects more than just the validity of a momentary judgment; it has a major impact on business continuity, external trust, and ultimately, growth potential. The law should not be something referenced only after a problem arises; it is meant to quietly support the foundations of our businesses and lives, expanding our options for the future.
Therefore, the role of a lawyer is not limited to dispute resolution or the provision of legal opinions. What is truly required is to carefully understand the client’s situation and, based on their underlying goals and circumstances, appropriately control latent risks to create an environment where they can move forward with peace of mind. A properly designed and soundly managed legal foundation does not just serve a "defensive" function; it becomes an "offensive" platform that supports business promotion, new challenges, and the creation of value. I believe legal affairs are not meant to suppress change, but to provide the power to orient change appropriately and realize its value in a sustainable form.
Regardless of the nature of the consultation, I make it a point to set aside preconceptions and formalistic thinking. I begin by carefully grasping the facts and conducting exhaustive research to present the most rational and effective solution. I believe my duty as a professional is to never lose sight of the interests that truly matter to the client and to provide advice that looks beyond immediate fixes toward future developments.
Whether a consultation involves a major management decision or a small anxiety arising in daily life, I believe it should never be treated with varying degrees of importance as long as it holds earnest meaning for the individual involved. By facing each case with sincerity and providing advice backed by thorough analysis, I am committed to delivering legal services you can trust. Please do not hesitate to consult me, even regarding the smallest of matters.
