Hello, I’m Shunichi Yoda, an attorney at SAKURA Law Office. With experience at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), I place great value on a perspective that comprehensively understands corporate activities from both legal and administrative angles. My time at the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency, where I was involved in parliamentary affairs, budget planning, and legislative amendments, provided deep insights into the real-world application and legislative intent of laws. I subsequently practiced law at Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, engaged in FA operations at Nomura Securities, and returned to the law firm to handle a wide range of cases.
Currently, I am engaged in investment operations at a domestic private equity fund, also serving as a director or auditor for multiple portfolio companies. I also act as legal counsel for several talent agencies, dealing with contract negotiations and dispute resolutions unique to the entertainment industry.
My core belief is to "deliver practical solutions." I always strive to understand what is truly needed on the business frontlines, not just from a legal standpoint, to provide actionable legal advice that meets client needs.
Legal frameworks are often perceived as obstacles in business operations. However, I believe that law should serve as a foundation for healthy business growth. With the mindset of "leveraging the law as an ally," I aim to help clients achieve their business goals while ensuring legal security.
Through experience in cross-border M&A deals in Southeast Asia, I have developed adaptability to various legal systems and business practices. In domestic business succession cases as well, I offer legal advice with a strong sensitivity to the client’s intentions and corporate culture, not just the legal aspects.
Drawing on this diverse hands-on experience, I commit to being your true legal and business partner.
